Following the centennial celebration of Hatenboer-Neptunus Holding in 2006, acting CEO Peter Willem Hatenboer took up a special initiative. He strongly believes it is important to contribute to a more sustainable world.

Together with investment organisation Reikon Beheer, he founded Dutch Water Limited (DWL). DWL started with a small water factory in the vicinity of Mombasa, Kenya and has turned out to be a project with true local impact. It has enabled the Hatenboer organisation to physically invests in the care for our planet.

Making a difference that truly counts

Peter Willem Hatenboer: "Using our ‘water know how’ and reliable equipment we convert brackish, polluted water to healthy drinking water in an area with a sincere scarcity. An adequate daily amount of clean drinking water is essential for overall good health and development. In addition, we are investing in local development projects by contributing our Kenyan profits."

DWL aims to produce healthy drinking water at the cheapest possible price in order to provide it to the locals for minimal rates. By now, the factory employs over a hundred local persons. Please visit the website for a full understanding of this initiative: www.dwlwater.com and you can also support us by donating daily fresh drinking water to schoolchildren, orphanages and health clinics: www.stichtingwaterpas.nl
